Career Planner 
Career Planner is the new WOIS interface that is beautiful and engaging! Easy to use and visually stunning, students will enjoy exploring their career and college options using Career Planner. Career Planner has all the great tools and information you are familiar with in classic WOIS. Three career assessments and Reality Check, plus all the detailed, current information about careers, postsecondary programs and schools.
Career Information System
WOIS provides detailed, current information about more than 500 civilian careers, the educational programs that train people for those careers, and the schools that offer that training. WOIS also provides information about military careers. All WOIS components are linked together, allowing users to begin their research from any point and still wind up with all the information they need:
WOIS also offers career information for our younger customers. Career Explorer is a tool developed specifically for junior high and middle school students.

Four different career assessment tools help users find careers that match their goals and interests:
- Career Interest Areas is a 66 question assessment that focuses on interests and identifies career paths to explore.
- Interest Explorer sorts occupations based on whether or not you would like to do the work activities presented.
- Skills Assessment helps you identify careers that match your skills. It also shows you which skills are used by each occupation.
- Work Importance Location can help you learn more about your work values and decide what is important to you in a job.
- School Search lets you decide what's most important to you in selecting a school, creates a list of schools nationwide for you to explore further, and allows you to save schools to your WOIS portfolio.
- School Compare is a tool that allows you to choose schools that may interest you and get a matrix that compares your selected schools in several different categories.
- Reality Check - After you finish school, you will need to work to pay for housing, food, clothes, transportation, etc. Find out how much money you will need and which occupation will pay for all of your needs.
